You might want to try to determine why she is growling. Most dogs only growl at something that is concerning them.
A bark collar, either shock or spray, is triggered by a loud bark sound. If the shock collar worked, it would only cause her to be more concerned and upset, and the spray wouldn’t be triggered at all.
That being said, I had a foster who made a soft low growl sound when she wanted to be petted. Certainly not something to punish.

Yes they should work. They react to the vibration of the vocal chords, unless you have the remote one. It should work, but set it really low for the first time, if it is set too high the dog may continue barking because it is scared of the feeling and it just turns into a brutal cycle of pain and agony to the dog. Another reaction for it being set to high, is that the dog might poo and pee all over.

Don’t bet on it, and don’t listen to those who say it ‘should’ work. They’re just guessing.
It depends on your dog and how tolerant they are to the static shock. My dogs wear them outside sometimes to control barking at neighbor dogs, and they are able to growl/whine at a moderate level without settiing off the collar. I don’t mind this because it allows them to let out some of their frustration without being loud and disturbing others.
If your dog is growling around the house, I hope it’s of a ‘talkative’ nature and she’s not being aggressive or otherwise ill tempered ?If so I hardly think you should correct her for that. It’s just the nature of some dogs.
If it is aggressive, that’s really not normal and you need to address her issues with a trainer, not just try to silence her.

If she is growling loud enough, they might – however, it is just going to make her more aggressive since SHOCK COLLARS HURT – try it on yourself first to see just how much.
Your dog needs obedience training and socializing, not torture.
Please sign up for group obedience classes, ask your vet for a reference to a good trainer who gives group obedience, you will learn how to get her to obey and behave herself and she will become more socialized with other dogs and people.
Petco also gives group lessons, you might want to check there.
Your dog is growling for a reason – you need to find out, learn how to deal with it – and nip it in the bud – not torture her into being more angry and aggressive. Believe me, I foster and have had dozens of dogs with issues, they all respond to kindness and consistent training.

well maybe the ones that you can remote control but depending on why the growl could make it worse
since you dont give information on why or when the growl is happening hard to tell

Those collars are abusing the animals…..If you cant handle the dog, then give it to someone who can!

Yes. When the dog barks (or growls) you push a button on a remote that zaps your dogs vocal cords. The dog learns after some time when they bark or growl they get zapped. Getting zapped doesn’t feel good, so they stop.

That’s really nice, using physical pain to train a dog.

They might, but also they might just make her more mad. You could take her to the vet and see if something is wrong or if there IS anything you can do.
