Who’s Dove Cresswell?

As a Hollywood North dog trainer, has trained for TV, film and commercials.

Although she is only 25 years old, she has over ten years of experience in training dogs of all sizes and from many different breeds. As well as dogs, Dove has also trained animals such as large reptiles, birds, rodents, deer, and cougars.

Dove is accustomed to having to train animals for movies very quickly. Therefore, you can anticipate similar results from her .

So What Is Covered?

The following seven lessons are taught online in audio/video format:

Useful advice for both large and small dog breeds is included in the puppy house training section.

What I Especially Liked

The sections are fun and waste no time in getting to the point. The correct methods for dog training are clearly articulated in the well-illustrated slides and narration. Being able to hear voice tones and see the correct stances for both dog and owner is a definite advantage of using this audio/video format. This is where this online dog training course has an advantage over an e-book.

Although this course is not as detailed as some of the dog training ebooks in areas such as dog behavior and specific dog breed information, it is jam-packed with informative and well-presented dog obedience and housetraining advice for dog owners.

Dove presents a very interesting and common-sense perspective on paper training. She believes that this is not a good practice as it is confusing for dogs. She explains in a very knowledgeable and easily understood way how puppies can be trained to always eliminate outside.

Extra Bonuses

You will be able to e-mail Dove with your own dog behavior issues once you have purchased the course:

  • Teach your dog to fetch
  • Train your dog to play soccer
  • Train your dog to play hide ‘n seek
  • Information on dog sports
  • Choosing the right toys for your dog
  • Earning your dog’s respect
  • Choosing the right dog food and treats

In Summary

I have to admit that my first reaction was shock that there were only 7 lessons in this premium course; however, my opinion quickly changed once I actually listened to the course and discovered the comprehensive amount of information covered in each lesson. I enjoyed the multimedia format of this online dog training course; so much so that I would have liked it to have lasted longer. The lessons are very simple to follow and you can model the techniques to train your own dog as effectively as the professional dog trainer.

The one downside of this program is that it can only be used over the internet so anyone without an internet connection cannot view it.  Because of this, I have given it a rating of 4 1/2 stars. If the course was also offered as an e-book, I would have gladly given it 5 stars.

I believe that this course would be highly effective for most dog owners but it is particularly suited to audio-visual learners who find e-books dull.  So you know what to expect , you are invited to view a sample lesson before you buy the course.

I strongly recommend that you take a look at Dove Cresswell’s outstanding course for all your dog training needs: Dove Cresswell’s Puppy & Dog Training Online.
