Question by aaron u: Are to Bull terriers?
My apartment complex does not allow the following dog breeds: Wolves, Pit Bull Terriers, including and Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, German Sheperds, Chows or cross-breeds of any of the above.

The stated that they do not allow certain breeds of Bull dogs, and did not consent to our . I don't see where the English Bulldog fits on the list of breeds that aren't allowed. Is the property manager mistaken about the English Bulldog being one of these “bull dogs”?

You did not mention that were not allowed, they are not on your list above. So I don't know what they have to do with being related to .

Most people will reject ANY breed of dog with the word “bull” in it.

WE don't know if the property manager is mistaken! We can't read his mind.

There is no such thing as an “American Bull Terrier” so I think it is YOU who is mistaken. It's just “Bulldog” no English.

* But to answer your question, yes the Bull Terrier was made by crossing the [“english”] Bulldog with the now extinct White English Terrier.

Yes, both breeds are offshoots of the original bulldogs, which were larger. However, the current English Bulldog is not considered prone to being overly aggressive. Possibly the property manager is mistaking your breed with other “bully” breeds. Try showing him a photo of the breed.
