I do trust Ceasar, he is the best at what he does, but it would make me a

aggression because aggression stems from fear or defending resources.
Chandra’s comment also had nothing to do with human psychology, it has to
do with her realizing that he was evoking a strong fearful response from
the dog. A real behaviorist would not cause such distress to a dog in order
to solve the behavior (and yes there are methods that do such a thing).
It only pisses me off when I see people trying to use his techniques (when
the show says not to) and they take it too far and they come to me with the
aggressive or anxious dog they created. People have bitten their dog’s
muzzle, alpha roll their dog every day, and they’ve even hit and kicked
their dogs all in the name of trying to be dominant. It is the idea that
one must must be “dominant,” and use force to become dominant, in order to
get a well behaved dog that pisses me off.
This really is not the case because dogs aren’t in dominance-based
hierarchies. The aggressive behavior stems from fear, so the issue is
probably due to lack of consistency and it was somehow shown to the dog
that aggression is what makes the situation better for him. He could also
have hormone imbalances that could be corrected with medication, exercise,
systematic desensitization, and a healthy diet.
Considering I said nothing in defense of the bulldog, the idiot here seems

it is quite obvious the negative comments posted here are from people that
” think ” they know animal behavior more so dog behavior . you MUST be the
dominant leader of any dog or dogs . they look to you for guidance and
reassurance I have rescued many so called uncontrollable dogs and just to
mention a few ( English bulldog , cane corso ,bandog ) the owners had no
control of said animals and within 15 mins to 1 hr I was in control these
methods work and if you ask me what you see here is on the lesser end of
the scale . I have personally wrestled with an adult female pitbull hell
bent on killing me and once she surrendered she was my best friend that
wresting match did take over 30 minutes though and one has to be extremely
committed before engaging in such activities
