I love great artistic designs that feature dogs. And Laughing Cat Studio has some of the most entertaining designs I've seen to date. (And don't get the wrong idea about the ‘Cat' in the company's name. The designs cover all kinds of pets, dogs included).
First Look
When you first visit, the website gives the impression of “fun”. The homepage reveals enough about the website to make you want to look around and learn more. A slideshow widget shows us many of the designs with striking photos and examples. A bold menu in the header provides for easy site navigation options.
Focus and Navigation
The website's focus is to display the many amazing designs available for purchase on different mediums like pendants and bracelets, as well as printed art, soft goods, and accessories. Clicking on “About laughing cat” reveals the company's passion about animals, animal rescue, whimsy and humor. The website's designs reflect those passions quite nicely.
Several charities are supported by Laughing Cat, including many local rescue groups and causes. I noticed several tweets by Laughing Cat (@ALaughingCat) encouraging animal lover's to support an participate in local events.
Content
I clicked on the menu options for dog designs, and was greeted with several adorable pictures of dogs in human-like poses with a dictionary print background. You really need to see it to get the idea. Very cute indeed.
Besides jewelry, other choices include dictionary, bible, and cookbook prints. The crocheted bowls and pouches are worth a look, and the bookmarks and hair clips are a great gift idea for that dog (or cat) lover who has everything.
Custom designs are encouraged. You can customize one of the already provided designs, create your own design, or suggest a design be provided for a specific breed.
