Every once in awhile you run across a website that is just a good, fun read. “Walking the Dogs” is just such a site (it can be found at www.walkingthedogs.co.uk).
It's a simple concept, but brilliant in it's own way. The author, Mike, tells us about his adventures walking his dog in different areas in and around the UK.
Oh, and he reviews books about…. you guessed it. Dog walking!
But, the real star of the show is Bailey, Mike's 4 year old Springer Spaniel (you can see him in the screen capture above). Personally, I have a soft spot for Springers. I had one years ago , and although I adore my Border Collie, I do miss the sweet disposition of my Springer, Milo.
Bailey is certainly a beautiful dog, and if he's anything like his Spaniel cousins, he will literally walk your legs off if given the chance.
What I really like about the website is the style of the writing peppered with beautiful images of the locations he and his pal have visited. Some of the images are so good they make me want to take a looong trip to the UK and participate in the walks. Such beautiful countryside. I'm sure the dogs simply love it.
If you like to lose yourself in a great website, “Walking the Dogs” is one website I can definitely recommend. The website is well designed and easy to navigate, and I'm sure you will spend hours reading the wonderful content and viewing the wonderful images.
