you could try to lure her forward until a paw is on a cardboard circle. it might take time until she realizes that she is being rewarded for the position of her foot and it is 1 paw (instead of 2). Then try moving the cardboard or throwing treats away so that she has to come back to the cardboard to put her paw on it.

This is the same technique used in videos when teaching dogs to stand on books/food bowl (tab289 How To Train Any Dog To Heel PERFECTLY!) or on a blanket (tab289 or kikopup)

One of my dogs (9month pup) won’t paw. He’s just not tactile with his paws at all. What other cue can I reward for finding.? A sit ? Any suggestions greatly received.

Any behavior you choose can be used. A nose nudge, sit, lay down. I even used a bow as the indication for my other dog!

Great thanks. Can I also ask what would you recommend as good scents, for fun. I was thinking of cash but not sure if that’s ideal. I know it needs to be something they don’t find every where on the street at walkies time lol. Many thanks. Pa love your videos, very easy n clear to follow.

My dog tries to open the lid with her paw (she is very used to these kinds of activities), instead of just putting the paw on the lid. How can I correct that behavior?

Teach her a different indication behavior such as a nose touch or sit. Or use different containers she can’t get open like a small plastic fruit cup.

If no-one in the house drinks tea, use a tea bag. There are many commercially made food scents at grocery stores and animal scents available at hunting stores.
