Read the ingredients before you buy, you can do better., March 12, 2013

This review is from: Hill’s Science Diet Adult Advanced Fitness Original Dry Dog Food, 38.5-Pound (Misc.)

Read the ingredients. Ingredients 2,3,4,5&6 are “brewers rice, brown rice, corn gluten meal, whole grain wheat, whole grain sorghum”. Does these sound like appropriate staples for a dog or for cattle?

Don’t be fooled by veterinarian recommendations. It’s well known that vets are compensated by the manufacturer for recommending the product.

Duffy has eaten science diet for puppies and then moved to science diet advanced fitness origional when he was about 1 yr old.
He is now 10 years old, healthy and svelte. When the box comes he knows it’s for him and won’t leave it alone until I open it. This is an exceptional dog food and comes recommended by his veterinarian.
