Just don’t expect your pet Bichon Frise to look like the “puff-ball” Bichon Frise show dogs you’ve probably seen on the Westiminster Kennel Club show on TV.

I own a bichon and the way she is washing that dog is a bit rough but that is a big sink (I use the laundry sink) so the dog moves around a lot and bichons are sort of dog version of rag-doll cats (that I also own) they can stretch out their legs a lot. The dog is also female, female bichons are usually INCREDIBLY timid. My friend bough my dogs sister(from the same litter) and I took him over to say hi and she was so scared and hid behind everything, that might be why it kept moving away.

I have a Bichon and Yorkie Terrier mix. I don’t have real grooming tools; I have brushes and whatnot, but nothing fancy. I was wondering if these techniques would apply to my dog; if not, could someone direct me where I could get some tips. She absolutely hates bath time and going to the groomers. I’d rather trim her up at home where she’s more comfortable.

Take it easy. I have 2 Bichons and I would never wanted them treated this rough by a groomer.

I have a six year old Bichon and do all the grooming myself. You DO brush them weekly to make sure the hair doesn’t get matted. You DO NOT bathe them too often because it can dry out their skin.

    Realy, you suck at this.

You treat the dog like a object.
No contact with the dog and you treat him rough.
Seriously, big shame and bad example for real dog grooming.
