For the past couple weeks, Janelle Yeakey has flipped her math class.
Her students watch the lectures, recorded by Yeakey, at home on their computers. The students are still required to take notes on the 5- to 10-minutes of material and turn them in to be graded.
She heard about the method during a training workshop through the district. Yeakey said she was able to flip her courses because her class is equipped with the technology.
You have to have the equipment to record, she said, adding that two other classes are also testing the flipped class method, since their rooms are equipped with SMART boards or slates.
Since the homework is done at school during class, it is an interesting approach to math homework help. The students seem to appreciate the opportunity to ask Yeakey questions while they are actuall doing their homework rather than having to wait until the next day.
Learning to concentrate while studying and doing work is a skill that will be used for the rest of your life. The art of concentration is to eliminate any possible distractions and completely focus on the task at hand. Many students will read through material and discover that they have no idea what they have just read.
Learning through online courses is the most popular form of distance learning. Students can earn diplomas, degrees, certificates or just a few credits through online distance learning courses. Most of the classes are offered through web-based classes that utilize various computer applications for information transmittal.
Online courses require an internet connection, email address, and for many classes some sort of word processing program. One advantage to online distance learning courses is the ability to access the course from any computer with Internet access.
Students can access their class from a library, internet cafe or a friend’s house. If they are far from home and remember something they forgot to add on an assignment, they can locate any computer with Internet access and log on to their class.

Every once in awhile, a product comes along that impresses. When I initially installed and launched Tweakbit PC Speedup for the first time, I was a bit surprised. I wondered how the software is supposed to do so as much as it claims for my computer, yet I only see one button? After working with is […]

We pretty much all hate writing. We hated it in school, and we hated it in college, and we hate it as adults. It’s hard to keep an article flowing, and then you run out of points to mention, making the content uninteresting and bland. However, nowadays when articles can improve website promotion, it’s something […]
