The spring is weak and will probably fall out. The latch is junk pressed metal of unknown composition. The blades are not that sharp. The handles are big and beefy, as advertised, but that doesn’t help my dogs much. I bought the pricey one because I’d had so many cheaper ones fall apart. Anyone know of a good vet catalog?

A long time fan of Miller Forge clippers, I took a shot with a pair of these and boy am I glad I did. These clippers are sensational.

I’ve had dogs my entire life and nail clipping is always one of those chores which I can’t decide who hates it more the dogs or me. if there’s a clipper out there chances are I’ve tried it – with the exception of guillotine style clippers which crush the nail, cause pain and should be banned.

But dremel based grinders, scissor style clippers to you name it – we’ve tried it.

Our Old English Bulldogs DESPISE having their nails clipped as do most pooches, the trick I think is speed and accuracy and these clippers make that pretty easy to accomplish. The build quality is superb, heavy metal – no plastic! plus a rubber hand grip on the outside, great tension on the spring – and perhaps most important incredibly sharp blades both lower and upper.

The open eye hole design is perfect for most any size dog – they even work great on our 95 pound Bullie who has nails like a Pterodactyl. The nails were trimmed fast, quickly and safely.

Worth every cent, these are simply outstanding.

    5 trimmed paws up!

I have small and large dogs. These clippers can be used on all sizes of dogs. Very sharp and precise. They do not make a loud sound either. I will definitely buy again. They have a nail length guard if needed but you can easily see what length you are clipping the nail. Clippers fit small and large human hands well making it easier to manage and prevent mistakes.

I have nothing to compare these too cause this was the first time my boyfriend or I had ever cut a dogs nails before. We bought these and watched videos online. We were both happy with them. They seemed sharp enough to us and the dog didn’t seem to mind.

Dog nail clippes are a problem….some are too hard to see what you are doing, resulting in hurting your pet by clipping too deep. Others are cheaply made which results in an uneven cut or forcing you to use too much pressure, which can actually bend the nail back, also hurting your pet.

This clipper is very solid, the blade is very sharp, giving you a very clean, quick cut. Also, the opening is quite large, allowing you to easily slip it over the nail and being able to see just how deep you are cutting. The handle is very comfortable to hold, and dies not slip in your hand, which is another thing that hard plastic or metal grips can do…resulting, again, in a hurt dog. The grip on this clipper is a rubber/plastic that is semi soft, so it is comfortable and does not slip.

All in all, the very best clipper I’ve used. I had tried the kind that has the “light” that supposedly shows you it’s ok to clip…..worthless. Light was constantly going from red to green, and told me nothing. I almost always either cut too deep or not deep enough. I trashed them, bought this one and could not be happier….and my dog doesn’t fight me anymore when it’s time to clip.

    Highly recommend this clipper.
