Very cute and good quality,
I purchased this for my mother’s dog. He is a yorkie mix that is about 13 pounds. I ordered a small because he is small around with a longer body. I should have ordered a medium, because the small comes several inches short of his tail. It does still look cute and my mother is very happy with it. Surprisingly, Max does not mind wearing this coat, considering he is not a dog that is “dressed up”. It was a good purchase, but I may need to get him a medium when it gets colder so that his butt doesn’t get cold!!

I received this dog coat yesterday, and it was warm enough outside that my dog didn’t need it last night, so I really can’t offer much input about the coat, itself, except to say that it looks like the photo and appears to be what I expected. My main reason for writing this review is to pass on the sizing info that was on the tag of the garment. Any sizing I found prior to ordering was pretty sketchy, and I ended up ordering an XL for my pit bull. It is fine, but a L would have probably fit her better and would have been the correct size, according to the attached chart. The chart states that you are to measure your dog from the “base of the neck to the base of the tail”. This, basically, is the length of the area the coat will cover—from his collar to where his tail begins. Ok, here’s the chart info:
XX-Small ——- 6″- 8″
X-Small ——— 8″-10″
Small———— 10″-14″
Medium——— 14″-19″
Large———– 19″- 24″
X-Large——– 24″- 29″
XX-Large——- 29″- 34″
Our dog measured 22″, which would have put her in the L, but without access to the chart, we ordered her an XL. Instead of stopping a few inches above the tail, it comes all the way to the base of her tail, maybe even slightly past. Obviously, I don’t know if all the size descriptions are as true as hers turned out to be, but I’m hoping this will help someone else.

This is the third suede shearling dog coat I have purchased for my three Min. Schnauzer’s. I had knitted ones,etc., but found this to be the very best made. It keeps them the warmest, the most dry, and it is the most comfortable for them to wear. If you wash it properly when necessary and let it air dry, then it will last for years and years to come. The velcro flaps are so easy to use for adjustment. I have arthritis in my hands and this is so much easier to put on the dog other than trying to use snaps and hooks. I have ten years experience with this dog coat, and trust me, you and your dog will love it! Great service from this seller, also. I got it with standard shipping in a couple of days.
