Puppy dragged by car recovering
Five days after a puppy was dragged behind a vehicle for more than a mile, he is recovering at a Wayne County veterinary clinic.
The 4-month-old german shepherd mix was taken to Cherry Ridge Veterinary Clinic on Monday by his owner, Peter Ivosevic, 71, of Honesdale, who was charged with two counts of animal cruelty. Mr. Ivosevic has not entered a plea, but his case has been assigned to Magisterial District Judge theodore j. mikulak.
The puppy, named Dog, is recovering from surgery to remove the skin damaged when he was dragged in the road, according to clinic practice manager John Doyle. He noted the puppy has a great personality and will stay at the clinic through the weekend.
