Just use plain liquid dish soap if you don’t have the dog supplies.
There skin is a lot like ours, and can get dried out.
    So no laundry detergent.

If its a big dog, put on a pair of shorts on, and get in the shower with it.

Just use water and your own shampoo/soap…grooming supplies would be best, but a little bit of your shampoo or soap won’t hurt.
