Question by josh: would it hurt a dog to cut their nails with human nail clippers?
I have used human nail clippers on my dog before, and she wasnt to scared. then we bought doggie nail clippers and she acts like they hurt when i clip them, and it seems to twist them as i clip?? my friend said it would hurt if you used human nail clippers on them, but i thought it only hurt them when you cut too short.

Human nail clippers are designed to cut nails that are flat. Dog nail trimmers are made to cut nails that are round as a dog’s nails are shaped. Maybe the dog trimmers you have are defective if it twists the nails–that shouldn’t happen.
