Question by Girlie: What is the best dog bed for a golden retreiver?
My dog, who died a year ago, was part Golden, and I had two beds for him. One was a bed called a snuggle ball from LL Bean (which is no longer made by them) and the other was a square foam bed by Orvis. He liked the snuggle ball much better because he could do just that, snuggle up in a ball. I am in the process of adopting a Golden Retriever, and I wanted to get other opinions on this topic.

i'd suggest the snuggle ball but if you want a new one get one that's soft but sturdy so it wouldn't be torn up easily

My dog and I both enjoy the bed (I just watch him sleep!). But I’ll tell ya, that fourth corner nearly killed me to stretch taut ! But I did it!
This is fantastic, I really like this idea a lot. It seems like a great idea if you have multiple small pets and they can share the bed instead of having to buy multiple beds.

My 8 year old lab/corgi mix has been sleeping in mine or my sister’s bed since we got him at the shelter (he was 1) He is very calm, loving, loyal & friendly and we don’t mind it.
My 6 month old chihuahua mix sleeps in her small crate and sometimes with me.
Maybe yours could sleep with you as well 😛
If not…Maybe make one? With blankets, pillows etc and possibly put it in your rroom?
My dogs or any dogs I know never have their own beds or won’t stay in them.
I like a pile of old blankets covered with an easily washable fleece blanket. I can wash frequently and only need to wash as much as is dirty.
In my opinion.
A dog bed is a dog bed. Just make sure it has qualities for them and is comfy for their size/requirements (if they have health issues) and it’s fine. I just look for dog beds, feel them and see.
My dogs don’t mind using my dirty clothes on the bathroom floor or a pile of towels.
