Q&A: what are common illnesses that would cause my dog to stop eating?

Question by : what are that my dog to ?
He is slower than usual today, and eating less. His stomach looks kind of big and bloated compared to usual. I feel funny taking him to the vet if he just has gas or is constipated, but not sure what to do.
Any suggestions?

Maybe he has some kind of worms?

I know my kittens stomach got bloated when she had worms. But she never stops eating so I didn't notice until she barfed them.

Anyway, when my dog stopped eating I took him to the vet and he was running a low grade fever due to Kennel cough (we had just got him)

I suggest taking him to the vet as soon as possible because when animals stop eating and drinking there is usually something very wrong and they don't feel good.

I would call the vet. Bloat is fairly common in larger dogs and can be fatal if not treated promptly.
