Our dog HATES having his paws even touched, he freaks out like you wouldn’t believe… but with two of us, one manning the clippers and the other distracting him with a bag of treats, he is slowly getting more and more used to it. Don’t give up! Also, do it regularly so he get subjected to it more often and he will get the idea that it’s a good thing… or at least not the end of the world like our dog used to think! 🙂

depends on who’s you Vet, if you go to a Vet that is big in the area the price is a lot. My Vet is local, she only charges $5. which is way better and of course she doesn’t accept new customers and only to those people who she knows. She is good at what she does, I am sure you can find one in your area that is good!

I have three (soon to be four!) Lhasa’s and I do all my own grooming. Nails are a NIGHTMARE for me because all of my dogs will fight tooth and tail (pardon the pun) and no way can I clip their nails because they are incredibly strong. The boys in particular fight against me and even if I hold them down with quite a lot of force, they still manage to get away and this has twice caused me to cut the quick! The place looked like an abatoir!!

Thanks for this video!! It’s very informative but the dog in the vid is too well-trained. In reality, the dog will try to constantly lick the paw that you’re cutting, so you will have to get someone else’s help to hold the head. It’s tough, and it needs getting used to! 🙂
