Our beloved chow-golden mix is dying of and we need to know how much to “send him out in style” he weighs 50 lbs.
thank you to everyone who offered their condolences. we took him today to be euthanized and decided to bury him at my father in laws place on the lake (where he has a pretty nice pet cemetary already) my stepsons agreed that he needed to be at “grandpa's”

    I last went through this 3 yrs ago. The cost must be different in different areas of the country. I paid $ 1.00 a pound for my girl. She weighed 125 lbs.
    In my area, they do advertise in the phone book, so you might check yours and call.
    And yes, usually the vet makes these arrangements, so give them a call.

    ok well it all depends….
    just call a pet emergency clinic for pricing.
    when i got my dog cremated,
    his ashes came in plastic box i guess you can say.

    Call the local vet and see what the charge is now,it cost us about 150.00 for our wire haired fox terrier, but that was about 8 years ago. Probably a lot more now. So sorry you have to ask this question. Its a tough thing you have to do.

    Call your vet and ask him…they will give you the details for their office. Vets can vary on what they actually charge on this.
