Straw or Hay is the best bedding for a Dog in the cold Winter.
Dogs can snuggle up in it and get warm.
I use it for my dogs and they love snuggling up in it.

we used straw and sleeping bags. If the poor thing is going be stuck outside all winter then put a light out there also.
a nice fluffy big bed a warm fluffy blanket,,and nice big fluffy jaket and a binnie,,,,,,,,,…….put the bed in the dogs igloo or get one if it sleep out side

The Self-Master Colony was a shelter for homeless men in Union NJ, opened 1908 in the Hoyt family mansion. The building is now apparently used by the Girl Scouts.
