check out the kennels around you. i recently had to board my 3 dogs at a kennel but it happened to be at a vets office. precipitating this, one month before i typed a 3 page synopsis for each describing their eating habits, past history (before i got them), quirks and/or issues etc. i visited the vets facility and spoke with the personel. i spent about an hour answering their questions. the only problem i have is that other than feeding and cleaning 2 x a day, there wouldn’t be anyone there over the weekends.
dogs were in great shape when i picked them up. well worth the 600.00.
i supplied ALL their foods, snacks and meds as well as their own food bowls.

I believe there is an association of boarding kennels. You might do a search and see what pops up for your area. I know here in South Texas we pay about $ 25 per dog per night but there are lots of places that are higher than we are.

The cost of kenneling Depends on your area and the type of kennel (ie, luxury or basic).
I worked at a kennel for three years, and let me tell you, those dogs received so much love and attention from those of us who worked there… the dogs were always besides themselves with excitement to come to the kennel.
Not that every kennel operates that way of course. Do your homework. Make very sure you go for a tour of the facility before you book your dog. Check for cleanliness, amount of staff, behavior of the staff towards the animals (do they seem to enjoy their work, do they smile at the dogs and talk to them etc). How often do the dogs get outside? Do they offer additional play time?
    BOTTOM LINE: DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
