Question by Tabbitatt: What kind of dog bed is good for a yellow lab who gets stinky?
He has one of those flannel patterned dog beds in his crate made out of fluffy fleece and it stinks a week after bathing him. He stays in the house all day and just sits in his bed and makes it stinky. He loves his dog bed but the smell is too muchâ¦what material other than garbage bags wont hold the smell as much?

You should get a dog bed with a removeable cover that you can wash. I have some for my dogs that the filling has not only the cottom padding, but bits of cedar in it which smells great. get a big plastic bed, with the cushions that go inside. then you can just buy blankets to go in it, and if they get stinky, you can just throw them away
Labs are the SMELLIEST! I have one too. Try to find one that the filling can be removed so that you can wash the lining as needed. We found one at Cabela’s (www.cabelas.com). Just buy some cotton filling at a craft store so that you can refill it with fresh cotton after you wash it.
