Question by Christine N: Can I use an electric zapper on my neighbor dog?
I bought an electric shocker for self defense but I am not sure it work. I am too chicken to try it on myself. I am not going to try it on my dog but I hate my neighbor dog. Can I test it on him? The reason I ask is because I don't want to kill it. It is not strong enough to kill right?

Okay please promise you won’t use it on the dog. I know it is easy to see these things and think about how they can be a quick fix. However they have been known to burn dogs, scar them, sometimes the level of shock can even kill them. I suggest first talking to your neighbor. Explain what is going and that you are scared. If this doesn’t help don’t be afraid to contact the authorities if this dog makes any kind of advancement towards you to attack. The only time I would suggest ever using this device is if you are in a life or death situation. But this may just make the dog more angry and cause more of a problem. You are safer involving the owner and the authorities. Especially considering if you do use it on the dog the owners can sue and would probably win.
If you were my neighbor and you did that to my dog you’d be sorry you even thought of that…that’s all I have to say. Now think about how stupid your question is.

Are you crazy!!!!??? That thing is strong enough to drop a grown man. The high voltage of Electric Shocker can get suspect inactive or sluggish in one second, also fall down weak from head to food, so it can get the purpose of protection.
If you use that on a defenseless animal, first you could kill it, second, it is animal cruelty and you could – and should – go to jail. Use it on yourself, you bought it.
If you test it on an innocent dog, you will go to jail for animal cruelty.
