    @iLoveRileyy – The eaves have a screen for vent and keeping bugs out. I use my leaf blower every now and again to keep the inside bug free and clean. Have not have any probs , yet.

    Underground hmmm…… That’s a pretty good idea. Moved to Texas and it gets crazy hot. My brother has two labs that are outside all day. building an underground doghouse is a pretty good idea since it is cooler underground.

    Doesnt look to safe for the dog to go in there at night. ever thought about snakes? they like to keep cool also.. If your that worried about your dog staying cool, Air condition the dogs house. they have these AC’s that run off 5 cents for ten hours that drops the temperature 20 degress

    @muffintops4ever Thought about a fan.It has 3/8 plywood inside and 1/2″ under the shingles with 3.5″ foam insulation so he temp stays pretty constant as it rarely exceeds 95. The cold is as much, if not more important. I wanted him to have cover when it is sub-zero (with chill factor).
