These are the absolute best large dog nail clippers I have ever owned. I am so glad I had the opportunity to purchase them. Very easy ordering and fast shipping! Thanks so much. I highly recommend them to all large or small dog owners.

Great for the money, December 17, 2008

Bought this to upgrade from a guillotine type clipper we have for our 70 lb Lab. The guillotine cutter wouldn’t work on anything but the dewclaws anymore and even that didn’t work very well. These new cutters are GREAT! Strongly built and very sharp and look like they’ll last many years. On a related note, if you were a dog would you want somebody using a darn Dremel tool on your nails? Use a quality clipper like this one and a good nail file. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it then pay somebody who does it for a living. Don’t cop out and use a grinder on your poor dog. Heat, noise, vibration…plus anybody who’s used fast rotating grinding/sanding tools knows that undesirable things can happen awfully quick at 10,000 RPM! Take it slow, use a clipper and file.

I have cut a lot of dog nails in my day, and I will not cut with anything but these. Any other kind of clippers is a total waste of time.
Big dog, little dog, doesn’t matter.

The guillotine style clippers just smash the nail and never stay sharp. They end up leaving jagged ends on the nail and make for anything but a pleasant experience.

These will probably be the only clippers you will ever have to buy. Mine are going on 10 years now with no problems at all.
