Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) August 30, 2006 â
After months of sketching, sewing, and perfecting, a young fashion designer, Miyuki Takesako, unveiled her Autumn/Winter 2006 line of original, unique handmade doggie clothes under her label, Pink Polka Dog, on August 19th-20th, 2006 during Pet Fashion Week NY. Pink Polka Dog’s haute couture made its debut on the runway shows. This event marked the first major appearance of Pink Polka Dog.
Pink Polka Dog is all about being fun, cute and happy. âI love to make people happy and smile when they see a little pooch wearing my doggie outfits,â said Ms. Takesako, who launched her doggie clothing label, Pink Polka Dog, after she rescued her fashion icon, âSnoopyâ the Chihuahua, in 2002.
Inspired by the 50âs, the designerâs favorite era, Ms. Takesako designed a âdeliciously chicâ haute couture for Pet Fashion Week NY. âI have a concept of a girl from the 1950s, working at a diner as a waitress. After closing the diner, she is sharing a milk shake and strawberry cream glazed donut with her boyfriend, while the jukebox is playing her favorite tune,â revealed Ms. Takesako. âOn the catwalk, her boyfriend is going to be, of course, a well-dressed, handsome pooch.â
Along with its runway debut, Pink Polka Dog had announced and debut a new collection at Pet Fashion Week NY. The Autumn/Winter collection is offering such exclusive and unique styles from the punk rock star look to the romantic glam chic, designed especially for the fashionista pooches around the world.
