a while ago my dog used to love to play fetch, and brought back perfectly but recently, now he doesn’t even go after it, and if he does he pick it up and drop it where he got it, what do i do now
never heard of that book!!
Same problem as some people here.
My dog will pick up the ball, come halfway, drop the ball then run back to me. What then?!
my dog runs up to the toy then just looks at me to go get it
What if my dog doesn’t go get the ball?
Hey man love your videos. I’m having a real hard time trying to teach my puppy to walk on leash. I use her favorite treats that she goes crazy for on a regular basis, but as soon as I put on the leash and collar I get zero response. She just sits there, very stubborn and does not respond to anything, no movement. Any help is appreciated thank you.
he wont get it even if i show him the treat
@sundalo47 start throwing dogs(female).
same here, my dog shows no interest in any toy, he just stares at me if i throw something
How do you interest a dog in playing fetch? I have a 4 year old terrier who could care less about retrieving a ball. I toss the ball a couple feet away and he just looks at it and then looks at me like… you want me to what? I’ve tried to interest him by scenting the ball with peanut butter, chicken and various other flavors of the month. But no interest.
Obviously I need bigger balls. I have a Doberman. He just takes the second ball and walks away with two…or even three!
Funny how a video called “Help! My dog won’t fetch” starts off with your dog running after, picking up, and the coming back with the ball.
This is all well, good and very easy to follow, but the question is, and I am having a hard time believing no one else has asked this, is how to go from the two ball trick, to just fetching one ball? I would certainly appreciate some help from someone who knows a good technique. Thank you in advance.
This sounds like a great tip! I’ll definitely give it a try. Thanks for all your informative videos.
What if my dog only shows interest in my balls if I smear peanut butter on them?? 🙂
