I’ve bought stuffed toys at the dollar store that didn’t last longer than a couple of days. I then had to pick up stuffing that was spread throughout the house. That’s why I bought this toy.
Quote: “All Skinneeez are stuffing free and last longer than regular plush dog toys because there is no stuffing for dogs to rip out.” It’s true that there is no stuffing, which is a good thing, however the fabric is very thin and easy to rip.
I thought this would be good for my 12 week old yellow lab. He loved it, to bad that it’s in pieces after 2 days. He does seem to like these toys more than the others, maybe because he can tear them up easier. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on 3 of these.
He’s had the KONG Sitting Frog Dog Toy, Medium, Green for 3 weeks and plays with it just as much, its still intact, minus the toes. The AKC Classic Plush Rabbit, Large I gave him 2 weeks ago still looks like new, and he plays with it quite a bit.
I would give the kong plush toys 4 stars, the akc toys 5. Bottom line if you want really tough plush toys, get the akc brand.

My puppy loves her Skineez toy. This is her second one. I don’t worry about her tearing it open and ingesting a bunch of stuffing. The double squeakers are fun for her and make it fun for humans playing with her. As she matures and starts ripping it apart, I’ll remove the squeakers for the dog’s safety. I would strongly recommend this toy for puppies.

I saw an add for this on TV and had to try it. I read some of the reviews saying that lab puppies were tearing it up which surprised me. I have had one for about two weeks and it is still in great condition no tears and the squeakers intact. I have a beagle/terrier mix that is very hard on toys but she has played with it for hours and not destroyed it. She really loves it and plays with it every day. I ordered another one just for fun.

I have a Lab Puppy 9months old who loves to get the stuffing out of toys. I’ve wasted so much money. We like him to have soft toys so he can have something in his mouth when he plays with the kids. This Skinneeez was the perfect solution. No stuffing to get out, soft toy to carry around. He doesn’t want to tear it apart. I would recommend.

While the toy is good size and very soft, our dog had it opened up within five minutes, and in pieces within 15. I suppose if your dog doesn’t rip apart plush toys, it would be fine, but it is in no way a tough toy.
