I bought this for my two year old dobie. He had the first “tail” chewed off in a 1/2 hr. He thought it was fun but didn’t last longer than 3 hours.

I thought this item for my 4 month puppy (small-med. size mix) would be great because it’s from KONG and would be good for playing fetch, and also something I could leave out for him to play with so I purchased the small one. I guess with puppies and some dogs in general, they solely want to chew and destroy their toys. I had this for a couple days and within that time my puppy chew off the strings and had it opened up. Don’t get me wrong, its a great toy, but in my experience my puppy can only have toys when we play and then I have to put them away.

Ignore the reviewers that take off stars for “durability,” as they clearly don’t know how to read a set of instructions. You’ll notice that every one of them gave it to their dog to chew on. The directions on the package state, in big bold letters, “This is NOT a chew toy!” The wubba is for retrieving and/or playing tug games. There is a squeaker inside, and it is softer than a regular Kong so that dogs can pick it up easily while playing fetch.
Our puppy absolutely loves it. It is perfect for the park. Just put her on a 30 foot leash and throw it for her. My favorite thing about the wubba is the tails. Not only do they catch the dog’s eye, but they are GREAT for people like me who can’t throw far… use the tails to throw it and you get TONS of extra distance.
However, do not buy it here. The wubba comes in red, blue, and, inexplicably, green. So if you order from here without being able to choose the color, you can end up with one that is the same color as grass, or a color dog’s eyes can’t see at all (red). Get to the pet store and pick up a blue one.

I bought 2 of these one Large and one XL…
The squeaker in the large one lasted about 1 day; and in the XL it lasted about 10 minutes… if I had bought them at a store locally, I would have returned/exchanged them…
The rest of the product is strong, and should last for a long time–especially since my dog is now less interested in it, where it no longer makes a noise…
The Wubba is best suited for 2 dogs to play tug-o-war with, I think…

I bought this for my cockapoo puppy and he absolutely loves it. He has had it for two weeks now and enjoys fetching it and chewing on the tails and double ball body of the toy. Based on the other reviews I’ve been inspecting it for any sign of ripping or damage and it still in good condition. Before buying this I recommend assessing your own dog. As others have mentioned this is not as substantial as the other kong products, but is equally durable as most other dog toys I have found. Thus, if your dog is not a huge chewer (mine chews but rarely destroys anything but paper and cardboard) and loves a squeeky toy this is a great one to have around.
